About Carleton

Carleton is located about ten miles north of Monroe. It is a small agricultural community that contains several small businesses and restaurants. Its location makes it an ideal commuter town, as Monroe and the greater Detroit metropolitan area are adjacent cities.

Carleton offers its own flair, but because the city is so close to Detroit, residents often visit the city for entertainment, including sporting events, movies, and 5-star restaurant dining. Calder's Dairy Farm and Ice Cream Parlor is a wonderful little farm that has called Carleton its home since 1946. Sterling State Park is only a short distance from the city, providing residents with countless outdoor activities to occupy their time.

The Carleton real estate market consists of mostly single-family homes, adding to the hometown feel of this community. Residents are welcoming and inviting, always giving a friendly wave. They often come together to participate in local sporting events, including soccer and flag football.
